From the TV 5 Forecast Center:
High pressure will build into the region for the next few days setting us up with a sunny and pleasant stretch of weather through the weekend and possibly into early next week. Any lingering clouds, mainly over southern and western parts of the state early this afternoon, will continue to clear out and give way to plenty of sunshine this afternoon. Temperatures are expected to reach the mid-60s to low 70s for highs this afternoon. Skies will be clear tonight and we’ll see a pretty seasonable night with lows in the 40s to near 50°.
Sunshine prevails for Saturday and Sunday with temperatures climbing to a couple degree either side of 70° for highs both days. We’ll be keeping an eye on an ocean storm moving northward through the Atlantic this weekend and early next week. Indications have been and still are that this storm will remain offshore to not have any major effect on our forecast but the latest data has been trending further westward with the storm track so it definitely bears watching. If the storm stays out to sea as it looks right now then our weather will remain pleasant through the early and possibly middle of next week. If the storm tracks further westward then we could see some rain moving into the area later Monday into Tuesday. Of course, we’ll keep you posted as we get closer. In the meantime, enjoy the beautiful weekend we have in store!
