From the TV 5 Forecast Center:
Moisture continues to wrap around low pressure spinning over the Canadian Maritimes and will result in some cloudiness over Maine today. The low is expected to continue slowly drifting away from the region today and overall we’ll see brighter conditions than we’ve seen the past few days. Expect a mix of sun and clouds today with the bulk of the clouds over northern and eastern areas. With brighter conditions expected, temperatures will be a bit warmer as well with highs in the low to mid-60s this afternoon. Skies will turn clear to partly cloudy tonight with temperatures dropping to the 40s for nighttime lows.
High pressure will slide in for the end of the week and through the weekend. We’ll see a great stretch of weather with sunshine and mild temperatures. Temperatures are expected to reach the mid-60s to low 70s Friday, upper 60s to low and possibly mid-70s Saturday then mid-60s to low 70s Sunday. A weak cold front will move in on Monday and could give northern and western areas an afternoon shower otherwise our forecast remains quiet to start next week.
There is an ocean storm that we’ll be watching early next week. Indications are that this storm will remain far enough offshore to not have an effect on our forecast but close enough that we still need to keep an eye on it. We’ll let you know if anything changes.
