UPDATE: Police Looking for Houlton Man in Connection with Deaths, Fires

State police are looking for Matthew Davis, 32, of Houlton in connection with a suspected shooting, two deaths, and three fires.

Police say the bodies of a man and woman were found inside a house on Oakfield-Smyrna Road by firefighters who responded to a fire at the house Monday morning.

Maine Department of Public Safety Spokesman, Steve McCausland, says two other fires were reported Monday morning. One fire at Katahdin Forest Products in Island Falls and the other, a pickup truck fire. Police have not told us where the pickup truck fire happened. The fires are being investigated by the Maine State Fire Marshal’s Office.

Police say Davis is considered dangerous and might have a gun.

Davis is described as 5’9”, 165 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. Call 911 if you see him or know where he is.
