State and local police responded to a car accident on Nokomis Rd. in Corinna Monday night.
The vehicle had been involved in a hit and run on Rt. 7 in Newport earlier in the evening. When the driver of the second vehicle began to follow them, they sped away.
The driver of the second vehicle caught up to the first vehicle when she arrived at the scene on the Nokomis Rd. in Corinna where the vehicle that struck her appeared to have hit an embankment and flipped over.
According to authorities, there were three people in the vehicle, two men and one woman.
The unidentified male driver was flown by Lifeflight to the hospital with what are believed to be serious injuries.
The other occupants were taken to the hospital by ambulance. Their conditions are unknown.
