From the TV 5 Forecast Center:

The storm that pulled a cold front across the state Sunday and brought us some rain with the frontal passage will remain spinning just east of Maine for the next few days. Moisture wrapping around the departing storm will combine with an upper level low pressure system moving through the state today to give us varying amounts of clouds and sunshine and a good chance for some showers especially north of Bangor. Areas around Bangor and points south and west will see brighter and drier conditions today. With low pressure to our east and high pressure to our west, northwest winds will be gusty today with gusts to 25 MPH possible. Cooler air moving in behind the departing storm will keep temperatures below average today with highs only in the 50s to near 60° this afternoon and when combined with the gusty wind, temperatures will feel even cooler at times today. We could still see a few showers over northern areas tonight otherwise expect a quiet night with lows around 40°.

Low pressure at both the surface and the upper levels of the atmosphere will remain spinning over New Brunswick on Tuesday. Moisture wrapping around the storm combined with an upper level disturbance moving through the state will provide us with more clouds and a chance for some showers especially during the morning hours. The shower threat will diminish as the day progresses. Winds will remain gusty with gusts to 25 MPH possible again Tuesday and with temperatures expected to only reach the 50s to near 60° for highs, we can plan on another cool day across the region. The storm will continue to very slowly move away from the area Wednesday allowing for some brighter and drier conditions. Temperatures will still be cool Wednesday with highs in the mid-50s to low 60s. High pressure will slide in for Thursday and Friday bringing us sunny and pleasant weather for the end of the week. Both days will feature sunny skies and temperatures mainly in the 60s. The good news is that high pressure will dominate our forecast through the upcoming weekend.
