The Challenger Learning Center of Maine is celebrating the change of seasons.
They welcomed locals to their Harvest Moon Family Night.
The popular day camp and field trip destination uses space exploration as a vessel to teach kids about science.
There were plenty of activities for kids.
Some created their own constellation, others enjoyed their mini-planetarium.
“So they come and they are intrigued by the different things we have set up but when they go in, they just get so excited, and we hope it makes them want to learn more, about science, about astronomy, different types of careers that exist,” said Jennifer Therrien, the center’s education director.
The center plans to welcome locals again during the week of Halloween.
