UPDATE: Bangor Police Investigate Attempted Robbery 

Bangor police are investigating an attempted robbery at the Garland Street Market.

It happened just before 10pm Thursday.

Police say a man went into the store, picked up a soda, walked to the counter, and had what’s being described as a “sharp edged weapon”. The man reportedly demanded money from the clerk.

Police say the clerk activated the store alarm and secured himself in a safe area of the store.

The suspect is described as a white man, 6’2”, 200 pounds, wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, black baseball cap, and black sweatpants.
