From the TV 5 Forecast Center:
High pressure will slide to our south today and continue to control our weather for the next few days. As the high sets up just south of New England, winds will shift around to a milder west/southwest direction, ushering more seasonable air back into the region for the rest of the work week. Today will feature lots of sunshine with temperatures with highs topping off in the low to mid-70s for most locales. There may be a few spots along the coast that stay in the upper 60s due to an onshore breeze this afternoon. Skies will be clear again tonight but with a milder airmass in place, nighttime lows won’t be as chilly as they have been the past couple of nights. Temperatures are expected to stay in the 40s tonight so frost should not be an issue for the overnight hours.
The warming trend will continue Thursday with plenty of sunshine and temperatures in the low to mid-70s for afternoon highs. A weak cold front to our north will push southward towards Maine during the day Thursday and will likely push a few clouds into northern areas Thursday afternoon otherwise sunshine will prevail for the day. Southwesterly winds will push a little bit of cloudiness into the area Friday so skies are expected to turn out partly sunny for most spots. Temperatures will remain mild Friday with highs in the upper 60s to mid-70s. A cold front approaching the state Saturday will bring us increasing clouds to start the weekend. There’s a slight chance of a few late day showers Saturday otherwise most areas will stay dry for the daylight hours. It looks like a better chance of showers will arrive later Saturday night and into Sunday.
Rest of Today: sunny and pleasant. Milder with highs between 69°-75°. West/southwest wind around 10 MPH.
Tonight: clear skies and not as cold. Lows between 40°-49°. Light southwest wind.
Thursday: mostly sunny. A few clouds during the afternoon over northern areas. Mild with highs between 71°-77°. West/southwest wind 5-10 MPH.
Friday: partly to mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 60s to mid-70s.
Saturday: partly sunny during the morning then increasing clouds during the afternoon. A few late day showers possible. Highs in the mid-60s to low 70s.
Sunday: partly to mostly cloudy. Scattered showers possible. Highs in the mid-upper 60s.
