Woman Arrested After Homeowner Says She Caught Her Burglarizing Home

State Police say a woman was arrested after a homeowner saw her trying to take things from her house in Glenburn Friday.It happed on Largay Lane, near Pushaw Road. Police say the suspect, Samantha White, fled in a car but was arrested a short time later. The homeowner says the 29-year-old from Bangor was walking out of her house when she arrived. She was able to give investigators a good description of her, as well as a license plate number. A Hermon Deputy Sheriff located the car and arrested White on an outstanding warrant. He says an I-Pod was found in her car that belongs to the homeowner. Police say that White led them to another home she admitted to burglarizing in Levant. She’s charged with two counts of theft and two counts of burglary. She was taken into custody and is being held at the Penobscot County Jail. White is not allowed bail.Anyone in the area who thinks their home may have been burglarized as well is asked to call State Police at 866-2121.
