Dover-Foxcroft Man Pleads Guilty to Robbing Bangor Pharmacy
A man from Dover-Foxcroft admitted Tuesday to robbing a pharmacy in Bangor last fall. 27-year-old John Harmon also pleaded guilty to possessing oxycodone, as well as an unrelated charge of aggravated assault. Harmon walked into the Rite Aid at Union and 14th streets last October, demanded prescription pills, then ran off.Harmon was arrested a short time later, along with a man who drove the getaway car, 24-year-old Kirk DePhilippo.DePhilippo was sentenced to two-and-a-half-years in prison, in January. Harmon won’t be sentenced until April. Prosecutors are recommending he serve four years in prison. But Harmon wants to prove he deserves less time than that, so the judge delayed his sentence.
