Lincoln Man Seriously Injured in Boat Crash

A Lincoln man was seriously injured after he was thrown from his boat in Burlington.The Maine State Warden Service says the crash happened Sunday afternoon around 2:10 p.m. on Upper Cold Stream Pond in Burlington, otherwise known as The Little Narrows.55-year old Jerry Davis was driving the boat, according to authorities.Witnesses say they saw the vessel take a hard right at a high rate of speed.The boat then apparently hit its own wake, throwing Davis to the floor of the vessel.The boat then started heading for shore. It crashed into some trees and rocks.Davis was ejected from the boat.He was taken by Life Flight helicopter to a Bangor hospital with serious injuries. The Warden Service is investigating.
