Skowhegan Shelter for Homeless Children is Closing

A Skowhegan shelter for homeless children is closing.The operator says it’s because of steep cuts in state and federal support.The Halcyon House provides services to kids ages 10 to 17, it was projected to lose $120,000 dollars in funding this year.It stopped taking new residents a week ago. No children are at the shelter now.
