A movie from the Maine International Film Festival is coming to Winter Harbor. WERU Community Radio and Schoodic Arts for All are playing “Raw Faith” the movie, a documentary based on a family from Addison that built a boat to take handicapped kids sailing. WERU Radio show hosts and boat experts, Alan Sprague and Mike Joyce followed the family’s journey. The film details the building of the boat and its numerous launches. “We thought it would be a good idea to bring the movie back up here to show the Down East area where the boat was really built so that people who saw the beginnings will be able to see what the full story was like,” said Alan Sprague. To catch “Raw Faith” on the big screen, head over to Hammond Hall in Winter Harbor, September 12th at 7:00pm. Tickets are $10 for adults, and kids under 12 years old are free. Proceeds will go to WERU and Schoodic Arts for All. For more information visit WERU.org or call 469-6600.
