At least two train cars left the tracks in Hermon Friday evening. One tanker car was on its side.A boxcar was leaning off the tracks. Officials don’t believe there’s any environmental threat and nobody was hurt. It happened along Route 2 in a wooded area near S & S self storage. A Penobscot County Sheriff’s deputy was on scene just after 5 pm.Dispatchers say their office is not responsible for dealing with the incident. We reached out to Pan Am but they haven’t offered any comment. Pan Am railcars jumped the tracks last Monday too. That happened less than a mile away and shut down raffic for hours.
