Belfast Shooting Suspect Now in Custody 

A Belfast man is in custody following a deadly shooting in Belfast Wednesday night.TV 5 has confirmed with Maine State police that 44-year old Todd Gilday was arrested at Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport. State police say Gilday checked himself into the hospital early Thursday morning. His car was also located in the hospital’s parking lot by the emergency room. Police from several agencies in the mid coast responded to the hospital around 7 am. Gilday has been charged with murder and was taken to the Waldo County Jail in Belfast.The shooting left one woman dead and a man critically injured.It happened around 11 p.m. at a home on Waldo Avenue also known as Route 137.Gilday was last seen driving a 2007 gray Nissan Altima with Maine lobster plate FOREX.We’re told the wounded man was rushed to the hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. No word on his condition at this hour.The names of the victims have not yet been released. And we are unsure at this time if Gilday knew them.
