Waterville Woman Charged With Kidnapping Her Kids Held On $25,000 Bail 

A Waterville woman who police say kidnapped her two children and fled the state last week was in a Maine courtroom Wednesday afternoon.34-year-old BethMarie Retamozzo was ordered held on $25,000 cash bail or $100,000 property.She’s charged with two counts of criminal restraint of a child by a parent, a felony in Maine. She appeared in Waterville District Court via video conference from the Kennebec County Jail where she’s being held.Police say Retamozzo kidnapped her 7-year-old daughter and 6-year-old son who were in the legal custody of their grandmother.Waterville Police immediately put out descriptions of Retamozzo and her two children saying she may be headed to Florida.Retamozzo was arrested in South Carolina with the two children and her two-year-old daughter who she had custody of.All three kids were found unharmed.If she makes bail she’s to have no contact with her son or daughter.Retamozzo is next due in court in October.
