Grand Jury Indicts Bangor Man Accused of Strangling Woman

A Bangor man accused of strangling a woman, then threatening to kill himself was indicted Wednesday by a Penobscot County Grand Jury. Harold Rogers, 43, is charged with aggravated criminal mischief and aggravated assault. A woman told police Rogers attacked her during a fight in May. Police say Rogers had a gun when they found him in a house on Elm Street in Bangor. Police arrested Rogers and while in custody, he reportedly kicked out the windows of a cruiser.
