A man from St. George accused of a string of crimes in Midcoast Maine wants his bail lowered so he can get out jail and be treated for liver disease. 47-year-old Ricky Block is charged with two dozen counts of burglary and theft. He’s in jail on $15,000 bail.Block’s lawyer says Block asked a judge Monday to reduce his bail and offered his own set of conditions if he’s released, including reporting to police twice a day. Block’s pleaded not guilty to the crimes which authorities say took place last winter in Cushing, Rockland, St. George, South Thomaston, Thomaston and Warren. The judge is expected to issue a decision in a few days.
