Construction Continues at Brewer High School
Things will look a bit different at Brewer High School this year. A 5 million dollar construction project began in July. The main reason for the project is to increase school security. The front of the building is being renovated to make it safer for students. There will also be a new cafeteria and lecture hall.”Our main office is now located at the end of what we call the senior wing, which is right next to the Hannaford supermarket, so parents and visitors who need to park at the school should park at the Hannaford parking lot and come in the rear door and the main office is right there. The other thing is, we have a temporary cafeteria because our cafeteria is being renovated an we will be bringing in lunches from the middle school each day and our students will be utilizing our temporary cafeteria for lunch. It will definitely be worth it in the long run,” said Principal David Wall. Students will have to take different routes to certain parts of the school, but the principal says they have planned well in advance to make sure everything goes smoothly at the school despite the construction. It will continue through August of next year.
