Authorities Investigate Several Vehicle Break-Ins in Hermon

Authorities say they’ve seen a rash of car break-ins in Hermon.Most of them have happened in the last couple of weeks, all overnight or early in the morning. Penobscot County Sheriff’s Deputies say almost all of the vehicles were left unlocked, too. We’re told the thieves appear to be targeting Union Street and Billings Road.Deputy Sheriff David Quinn says, “Don’t leave your vehicle unlocked. If you’ve got any type of valuables, leave them out of sight or take them in the house. Definitely lock your vehicle and don’t leave the keys in your vehicle as well.”Deputies say if you’ve noticed anything suspicious, don’t be afraid to report it.
