Car Seats Credited With Saving Lives of Children in Serious Crash
Car seats are credited with the saving the lives of two small children after a serious crash in Belfast.The crash happened just before 2:30 on Sunday afternoon on the Back Searsport Road in Belfast. Police say 29 year old Jennifer Lambeth was driving when she lost control of her pickup truck. She had her two small children in the car. Police say the car rolled several times, crashed into a pole, and rolled again. Lambeth ended up outside of the car. Police say she was thrown about 25 feet from her vehicle. She has serious injuries. Her two year old suffered only minor bruises from the crash, her ten month old was uninjured, according to police.The crash caused the telephone pole to snap and created a two hour long power outage to the local area. Police are waiting for results from a blood alcohol content test on Lambeth. The crash remains under investigation.
