Ronald McDonald Stops by Golf Tournament and Children’s Cancer Center
More than 100 people teed off for a good cause on Monday. The Third Annual Heroes Hope Healing McDonald’s Golf Classic was held at the Penobscot Valley Country Club in Orono. It raises money for the Lafayette Family Cancer Center in Brewer. This year the money will go toward a room for parents and a room for kids. ” So that when children do come down with cancer, their parents and they can go and have a place that’s fun, makes them at ease, and makes the terrible disease they’re fighting, a little bit more livable,” said Doug Quagliaroli, an owner/operator of some McDonald’s in Maine. After stopping by the golf course, Ronald McDonald was off to Eastern Maine Medical Center’s children’s cancer and treatment center.
