Wardens Find Missing Boater on Pushaw Lake

Game wardens have found a Hermon woman who was missing on Pushaw Lake. Lizabeth Gleason, 54, was found Monday morning around 9:15 a.m.She set out Sunday in a 2-seater catamaran-style boat known as a CraigCat. Gleason ran into engine trouble. Gleason reportedly spent the night floating and paddling to try to get to shore. Her boyfriend reported her missing around dusk. Warden members searched the lake for Gleason until after Midnight. They returned Monday morning around 6 a.m. to continue looking for the missing boater.A warden pilot spotted Gleason Monday morning. They circled until wardens and friends on the water could reach her.We’re told Gleason was cold and a bit shaken up, but is otherwise fine.
