A Trenton man has been charged with murder in connection with the death of a man whose body was found last weekend. Police say Richard Bellitieri, 61, of Trenton, had not been seen for more than a year. His skeletal remains were found near his home on Goose Cove Road in Trenton on Sunday. Bellitieri was an accountant.Maine Department of Public Safety Spokesman, Steve McCausland, says William Morse, 43, who is also known as Bill Tool, was arrested Thursday afternoon. McCausland says police tried to contact Morse Thursday morning at a house on Peake’s Hill Road in Dedham. Morse reportedly left the house without being seen, and got a ride with a friend. McCausland says drug agents spotted Morse at the G & M Family Market in Holden around 1:30 Thursday afternoon. Morse was taken into custody shortly after the agents saw him. Police say Morse and Bellitieri knew each other. No one had reported Bellitieri missing, but Bar Harbor police were recently told of his disappearance. Detectives would like to talk with anyone who knew or had contact with Bellitieri before his likely disappearance last summer. Detectives would also like to talk with anyone who has had contact with Morse in the past year. If you have any information call 866-2122.
