Folks in Starks will decide next month if they’d like to put a hold on a cell phone tower project. They’ll vote on a 180-day moratorium, which could give the town time to develop a telecommunications ordinance. A group of residents concerned about a cell phone tower on Abijah Hill Road pushed for the vote. It’s scheduled for Thursday, August 8th at 7 p.m. at the Starks Community Center. First selectman Paul Frederic says Bay Communications out of Massachusetts has put in an application to build the tower. The planning board is expected to review the project August 21st.
