The search for a missing hiker from Tennessee continued Friday.Geraldine Largay was last seen Sunday, walking the Appalachian Trial. She was supposed to meet her husband in Wyman Township on Monday but never showed. Early Friday, a Maine Forest Service helicopter was used to try and locate her. About 60 game wardens, along with other search and rescue teams, scanned areas north of the Spaulding lean-to in Mount Abram Township toward the Route 27 crossing in Wyman Township. A command post has been set up at the Sugarloaf Mountain Resort.Search efforts will continue Saturday morning. Wardens are trying to find another female hiker who reported staying at the Spaulding lean-to with Geraldine Tuesday night. Anyone with information regarding either Geraldine or the unknown female hiker is asked to call Augusta Public Safety Dispatch at 1-800-452-4664.
