Driver Could Face OUI Charge in Thorndike Fatal Accident 

The driver in a deadly crash in Thorndike could face an OUI charge.That’s according to Waldo County Chief Deputy Jeff Trafton.He said blood test results Alvaro Soares, 27, of Unity came back with a blood alcohol content of .07.Trafton said Soares could still face charges because the test came four hours after the crash.On July 4th, Soares was the driver in a crash that killed Oscar Tizon Brito, 23, and injured Kelly Soares, 22, both from Rhode Island. The Chief Deputy said officers are still finalizing the investigation.As of July 24th, Kelly and Alvaro Soares are still recovering at Eastern Maine Medical Center.
