Three men have been arrested for allegedly kicking down the door of a Waterville apartment and stealing money police say had been stolen earlier from a convenience store in town. Police say 21-year-old Alec Bryan, 19-year-old Gilbert Barrows, and 18-year-old Gage Wells, were caught after they ran from the apartment just after 5:15 p.m. Tuesday. They were charged with robbery, burglary and theft for breaking down the apartment door and making off with an undisclosed amount of cash. A juvenile was also charged, and released to his parents. Police tell the Morning Sentinel, the money had been taken earlier from an open safe at a Cumberland Farms store. Eighteen-year-old Melvin Hubbard was charged with stealing the money from the store. It was not clear if the suspects had lawyers.
