SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine (AP) – The Maine Association of Realtors says the number of homes sold in Maine rose 6.4 percent last month. The association attributed the increase to motivated buyers and sellers and historically low interest rates. The group says according to listings, a total of 1,327 homes sold last month across 16 counties. The median sale price was $184,000, up from last June’s median sale price of $175,500.
