It’s almost time for the Bangor State Fair. The annual event brings rides, food, games, and entertainment to the city for ten days. This year, things will be a little different because of the new Cross Insurance Center. People shouldn’t notice any big changes, but parking will have a new set up. ” Instead of coming around what used to be the old civic center, they’ll be coming across the racetrack and entering the fairgrounds at the grandstand. Other than that and a little bit of unpaved surface here that we’re not used to down off the Dutton Street gate, there still will be three access points,” explained Mike Dyer, general manager of Cross Insurance Center and Bangor State Fair. The Bangor State Fair opens Friday at 2pm. For a list of events and ticket prices, visit www.bangorfair.com.
