NWS Confirms Tornado in Washington County 

The National Weather Service has confirmed a small tornado did touch down near the Washington County town of Danforth Wednesday night.It’s been rated an EF-0, which is the lowest on the tornado scale.It had maximum winds of 70 miles per hour and was up to 50 yards wide.The tornado grew out of a severe thunderstorm that downed trees and power lines from Weston to Danforth. It also destroyed the Gillis Fuel Storage Garage on Central Street in Danforth.
