Lebanon Man Accused of Leaving Four Children in Hot Car in New Hampshire

Police say a Maine man is accused of leaving four children in a car in a New Hampshire parking lot in 97-degree weather to go shoplifting.Police said 28-year-old Jeremiah Hollenbeck of Lebanon, Maine, was inside the Family Dollar store in Franklin for about 10 minutes as the children were sweltering inside the car at about 4 p.m. Wednesday.The children, ages 9, 5, and 9-month-old twins, were spotted and police got them out. WMUR-TV reports, they were taken to a hospital for treatment for serious heat-related symptoms.Hollenbeck is facing four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, one count of receiving stolen property, and a felony level possession of a controlled narcotic.
