Wildfire Contained in Gouldsboro 

Rangers and local firefighters were on the scene of a wildfire near Gouldsboro Point Road for 5 hours Wednesday. The fire was first reported just after 3 pm. Maine Forrest Ranger Ryan Maker says the damage was contained to 2 acres, about a quarter mile into the woods. Firefighters were called in from Winter Harbor, Franklin, Sullivan, Hancock, Sorrento, and Steuben.A Maine Forest Service helicopter was used to drop water on the flames. No structures were threatened and no firefighter injuries have been reported.
