Waterville Man Sentenced to 3 Years in Federal Prison on Drug Charges 

A Waterville man has been sentenced to more than three years in federal prison for his role in a scheme that that brought drugs to central Maine from New York City. Prosecutors say 24-year-old Rodney Lacroix was also sentenced this week in U.S. District Court to three years of probation upon release. Lacroix pleaded guilty in December to various charges and has been in custody since. He was one of 20 people arrested in connection with the drug ring that brought cocaine and prescription painkillers to Maine. The Morning Sentinel, reports that the conspiracy lasted Jan. 1 2012 to March 17 last year.
