New Modern McDonalds on Hogan Road Opens 

People were *loving it* in Bangor Thursday.McDonalds on Hogan Road reopened after being closed since April 1st.The 34-year-old restaurant was knocked down and a new modern restaurant has been built.At a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday, owner Gary eckmann presented $1,000 checks to the Bangor Parks and Rec Department, and Camp Capella.”McDonald’s contributes a lot to the community not only with employment, but we have an affordable menu, high quality product, and we have choices,” said Gary Eckmann, Owner/Operator, Local McDonalds.”We’ve had new McDonald’s stores opening in Bangor over the years but this is very special. He’s employing 70 people here: he used 19 businesses in the greater Bangor area to build this facility. Those are jobs they’re bringing people to Bangor to shop, to enjoy our entertainment, to be able to live here,” said Nelson Durgin, Chairman, Bangor City Council.The restaurant’s new features include a Mc-Café, free Wi-Fi, and a double drive through that can serve up to two-hundred people an hour.
