State lottery officials say a convenience store in Calais sold a $1.7 million winning lottery ticket. The Tri-State Megabucks Plus jackpot was up for grabs last Wednesday. One ticket matched all six numbers drawn. It was sold at Hardwicke’s Country Store. The store manager says he doesn’t know who bought the ticket but it’d be great if it was one of the regular lottery players. The store receives a $17,000 bonus for selling the ticket. This is the second time in less than a year that the Megabucks Plus jackpot was won in Maine.
