“Daughters of the Nile” Leader Departs On Journey from Bangor

A bus named “Nila” is taking a road trip to raise money for burn victims. On Monday, local members of the “Daughters of the Nile” Foundation joined their Annah Shrine counterparts for a kick off celebration.Webb’s RV in Bangor hosted the event. The bus will be stopping in 112 cities, spread across the United States and Canada during the summer. The foundations 2013′s “Supreme Queen” will be visiting Shriner’s Hospitals in the specially-designed motor coach to heighten awareness and raise money for the Convalescent Endowment Fund.She says today is one of mixed emotion. “It is an experience that is once in a lifetime and I want to make the most of it, not only for the children in Shriner’s hospitals but for the members of Daughters of the Nile,” said Supreme Queen Margaret Ann Risk.
