Updated 1 year ago

Police have identified the man killed in Thursday’s Fourth of July Parade in Bangor. Police say Wallace Fenlason, 63, of Holden, was killed when an antique Bangor fire truck had some sort of issue and rolled into the back of the tractor Fenlason was driving. Patrick Heathcote, 29, of Levant, a Bangor firefighter, was driving the 1930 Hose 5 Museum fire truck. The truck and the tractor were part of the parade. Heathcote is on paid nondisciplinary leave from the fire department until he is deemed ready to return to work. Anyone who witnessed the accident or has video of it is urged to call Detective Cliff Worcester at 947-7382.
