Bank of America is cutting jobs at its call center in Belfast. About 800 people work at the facility.Fewer than twenty positions are being eliminated. These employees assisted customers with credit card lending. T.J. Crawford, a spokesperson for Bank of America, says the bank’s human resource team will be working closely with the individuals to help them transition and find a job inside or outside of the company. He says the eliminations are part of the bank’s effort for a “more simple company.” Bank of America will also soon be closing its child daycare center in Belfast. They announced this last year to give parents a chance to find alternative care.
