Maine State Prison Inmate Dies 

An inmate at the Maine State Prison in Warren died Tuesday evening. Alan Powell, 57, had served approximately 22 years of a life sentence for murder. According to the Associated Press, state police say Powell was attacked. Powell was convicted of killing Martha Daigle of Waterville, in 1989. As is protocol in a prisoner death, the medical examiner, state police, and attorney general’s office are investigating the death.
