Bangor’s police chief shot himself in the hand. City Manager Catherine Conlow says it happened Monday after a firearm transition training in Brewer. After the training, officers were cleaning their guns, when Chief Mark Hathaway’s gun discharged. Conlow says it seems to have been an accident. Hathaway was not seriously hurt. Lt.
