Bangor Woman Accused of Killing Husband Still in Jail, Despite Order to Psychiatric Hospital 

A woman from Bangor accused of killing her husband remains in jail, despite a judge’s order that she be sent to a mental health hospital. Last month, a judge ruled 49-year-old Roxanne Jeskey is competent to stand trial, but the judge also committed her to Riverview Psychiatric Center in Augusta.Jeskey’s lawyers say the Department of Health and Humans Services is not honoring the judge’s order because DHHS says it’s not legal for Jeskey to be found fit for trial, yet still need to be at Riverview.Jeskey’s accused of brutally killing her husband, 53-year-old Richard Jeskey two years ago.Court documents say she admitted to attacking him with pliers, a box cutter and a plastic baseball bat.In court Monday, Jeskey’s lawyers asked for a hearing with DHHS.A date has not been set yet.We’re told her trial is now scheduled to begin in December.
