Jury gives ‘Not Guilty’ in Olivares Trial

A jury handed down a verdict of ‘not guilty’ in the case of an Orono man accused of unlawful sexual contact.Aaron Olivares was accused of getting into bed with his neighbor in October of 2011. Defense Attorney Don Brown says there was no evidence to support that his client committed the crime. “I think when they reviewed the evidence that was presented and perhaps more importantly the lack of any real evidence of what happened that there was really no conclusion to come to except not guilty,” Brown said.Olivares said he’s grateful for the jury’s verdict.
