Corinna Man Sentenced for Sex Offenses

AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) – A Corinna man has pleaded guilty to sex offenses against two young girls that occurred more than a quarter of a century ago. Glenn Graves pleaded guilty Tuesday in Kennebec County Superior Court just before he was scheduled to go on trial on three charges of gross sexual misconduct. Prosecutors say the offenses occurred between October 1985 and April 1987 and the victims were under age 14 at the time. District Attorney Maeghan Maloney says the case came to light during an investigation into an unrelated case in 2012. The Kennebec Journal ( ) reports that the 57 year-old Graves was sentenced to eight years in prison with two to serve, and four years of probation. Graves’ attorney said his client “decided it was time to end this case.” ___ Information from: Kennebec Journal, 2013 The Associated Press. All rights reserved.
