Bangor Police are looking for a man in connection with a mugging early Sunday morning downtown.A 30-year old woman told officers she was walking along Franklin Street around 2 a.m. when she was attacked by a man.She says the suspect grabbed her by the neck and tried to drag her onto a path near Kenduskeag Stream. Police say the victim screamed, fighting him off. She also scratched his face and kicked him in the groin area with her knee. Police say the victim also may have bit the suspect on the hand. He took off running down the path with her purse.The suspect is described as wearing a black hoodie and black gloves, and some sort of mask over his face. If anyone witnessed this attack or knows of anyone who might be suffering from recent injuries to the face, groin and hand, they are asked to call the Bangor Police Department at 947-7382.
