More money is on the way to Kennebec Valley Community College to help launch a new agricultural education program. The classes will be taught at the new Harold Alfond Campus in Hinckley. The school received $150,000 from the Elmina B. Sewall Foundation. The money will help renovate a landmark barn so it can be used as a classroom and lab space, as well as storage for farm equipment and supplies. The classes in sustainable agriculture start in August. For more information, log on to www.kvcc.me.edu
