Governor Signs Hospital Repayment Bill, Two More Major Bills on His Desk 

Governor LePage signed one major bill Friday, but two others remain on his desk.The Governor signed off on a plan to repay Maine’s nearly half-billion dollar hospital debt.With that debt taken care of, the Governor says he will now issue more than $100,000 in voter approved bonds for transportation improvements, conservation, clean water upgrades, and construction and energy efficiency at schools.LePage has indicated in the past he will veto the other two bills – a $6.3 billion state budget approved Thursday night by state lawmakers that includes tax increase and a plan to expand MaineCare to 70,000 Mainers for the three years it will be funded by the federal government.
