The Bangor Rotary Club gave more than twenty thousand dollars to five non profit charities Tuesday. The club raised the money during its off-broadway spring musical last April. This year the rotary club has focused on organizations that benefit youth and the elderly.Scott Boucher the club’s president says, “some are not able to receive federal grant dollars so clubs like rotary club of bangor are really key in helping them continue their mission.”The charities that received money were Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Mid-Maine, Community Health and Counseling Services, Jobs for Maine Graduates, Ronald McDonald House of Bangor, and Penquis.
