Cub Scouts Design Cakes to Benefit Local Packs 

Boy Scouts in Hampden are earning new ranks and enjoying some sweet treats along the way.On Sunday, cub scouts pack 41 took part in a crossing over ceremony.While the boys were excited to move on up, they were even more thrilled to eat some cake.Scouts and their parents put their creativity to the test for their annual Cake Bake Auction.The desserts range from your standard carrot cake to so much more. Cubmaster Greg Lord said, “”We have a cake with an actual cabin on it. We have an army cake which has some tanks and army soldiers on it. A lot of creative stuff the kids enjoy.”The auction is a fundraiser for the pack. The money raised goes to help send scouts to camps and activities to move up in the ranks.
