There was a touching tribute to Nichole Cable in Old Town Friday. Hundreds came out to River Front Park for a candlelight vigil to remember the 15-year-old girl from Glenburn. Her body was recovered from the woods in Old Town last Monday. Organizers looked to spread awareness on the dangers of domestic abuse and violence in our area. A sea of yellow filled the park as community and religious leaders spoke to the grieving community. They say it’s an event that would have made Nichole smile. Donations were collected to help support Nichole’s family during this difficult time. There was also a spaghetti supper just up road too. Organizers believe that hundreds of dollars were raised in total.
